MY STORY

I was brought up by Christian parents and went to church from a baby. However, when I went to college at the age of 18, I met Christian students who were excited about Jesus and who seemed to ‘know’ Him. I didn’t understand what they meant and felt let down by my church and by God. I began to feel very angry at Him about this, but I still went to church. The minister there was very ‘to the point’. It was as though he was speaking straight to me and my inner reaction was, “How dare you speak to me like that!” But I still went. The feelings of anger and being let down grew and grew and became exhausting.

One day, as I was alone in my college room, I just knew I couldn’t go on thinking like this. I told God that I was letting it all go and giving in to Him. As I did, I heard Him say my name. The effect on me was instantaneous. Suddenly all the questions didn’t matter anymore. I just knew Jesus and the love of God and that was enough. I fell to my knees and received Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. At last I understood what those Christians at college were experiencing and what the minister had been talking about. All my sins were forgiven, past, present and future. I was a born-again Christian, free and full of joy. Reading the Bible suddenly became exciting as I found out just what Jesus had done and won for me and I’ve been learning from it ever since.

There have been times in my life when I didn’t focus so much on my relationship with God. But I never lost my faith and God is faithful. His unconditional, unfailing love for me remained true and steadfast and I was still His child. He wasn’t angry with me – He just wanted me to come back into the experience of my relationship with Him. And what a difference it makes when I put Him at the centre of my life – praising and worshiping Him, talking to Him and listening to Him, reading His Word, trusting in His love and all His promises, learning more and more of what Jesus has done and won for me, speaking out the truth of who I am in Him – simply enjoying Him. Everything else falls into its rightful place. It isn’t always easy, but I know I can find peace and joy even in the difficult times and that God will bring me through. He will never let me go. Nothing can separate me from His love.

This wonderful relationship with Jesus and God is available to everyone – no-one is excluded from the invitation. God is looking on everyone with such love. He is longing that each and every person would turn to Him through faith in Jesus’ death and resurrection, so they can become His child and know Him as Father, and have eternal life starting here on earth.

I have spent many years teaching and training people in local churches. This has included heading up Junior Church, leading a homegroup for twenty years, preaching in church services and being a church elder. In 1997 my husband and I set up and led a church ministry team for seventeen years, in which I did both the individual and the team training. In 2011, God told me during a service that teaching was what He wanted me to focus on. And to confirm it to me, He also told a friend during the same service.

After preaching a sermon on ‘God Loves You’ in 2013, I decided to write it as a booklet to be available in church over Christmas. Many copies were taken by people who were not Christians, which was really encouraging. God then inspired me to start writing more booklets and then to set up a website to make them available to everyone free of charge, and here we are. Later, I also made the booklets available on Kindle and they are selling around the world. The booklets and the book ‘In the Name of Jesus’ have been translated into Telagu and are being distributed around Andhra Pradesh in India.

I am so excited to be doing what God has planned for me to do, and I trust that His unconditional love is reaching many people through my booklets and books. I pray that they will help and encourage Christians, and also that they will draw others to Jesus – to become children of God and find the freedom, peace, love and joy He longs to give them.

Please help to spread the truth of God’s unconditional love and all that Jesus has done and won for us by passing on my website to others and printing the booklets out to give away. Know that God loves you and has only good for you.
